We can minister to the darkness but we can’t associate with it.

What are you plugging into? Because it will determin who we are.

 

Mathew 5:14

 

• 3 ways we can be light in a a dark world.

 

1) We are born to absorb and then emit the light of God.

is it possible to be the light of the world If we’re entertaining darkness? No

Why not?
• Because darkness only produces more darkness.
2) Our surroundings are critical to our ability to be light.

• We must be intentional in choosing people of light to be in our circle.
• If it’s true that Bad company corrupts good character, than dark influences corrupt light.

3) God is light. The closer we get to the one whom we behold, the brighter we shine for Him.

The darkness doesn’t have any answers. Jesus does.

It is impossible for a lamp to do its job if it isn’t receiving some sort of power supply. In the same way, it’s impossible for us to be light if we’re not plugged into the source of light.

So, what is it that you’re plugging into? Because that will determine whether or not you shine for Jesus, or blend in to the darkness.
